Fetal Dopplers
Most Fetal Dopplers offer a choice of 2Mhz or 3Mhz probes. How do you choose ?? The 3Mhz which detects heart tones between 8 & 10 weeks gestation, is the best choice for general prenatal use. If the doppler is to be used in labor and/or delivery, the best choice is a 2 Mhz probe. The 2 Mhz probe detects heart tones beginning between 10 & 12 weeks gestation and will continue to pick up heart tones all during labor.
Waterproofed probes are designed for use in water but can be used in or out of the water.
