VICRYL RAPIDE SUTURES

Cascade HealthCare Products carries Coated VICRYL RAPIDE (polyglactin 910) Sutures. Coated VICRYL RAPIDE Suture is a synthetic absorbable sterile surgical suture composed of a copolymer made from 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide. Although this suture is a synthetic absorbable suture, its performance characteristics are intended to model the performance of a collagen (surgical gut) suture.

Coated VICRYL RAPIDE Suture is indicated only for use in superficial soft tissue approximation of the skin and mucosa. It has a tensile strength that is initially greater than Chromic Gut and sutures begin to fall out after 7 - 10 days, with total absorption after 42 days. This faster dissolution rate means that suture remnants whould not require removal later after healing (Healing Passage, 2010).

We offer Coated VICRYL Sutures in different sizes of varying strengths with your choice of Taper Point Needle or Reverse Cutting Needle.
