Jaeger Reading Eye Chart
The Jaeger eye chart is used for reading up close and for determining your near vision. When reviewing the chart, you will see the notation 1 next to the paragraph with the smallest text and each progressive paragraph of larger text is noted with an increase in the number.
As you progress to larger lettered paragraphs, the lettering size increases for lesser visual acuity. The Jaeger type scale ranges from J1 to J11 or larger, with J1 being the smallest type. J2 is considered the equivalent of 20/20 distance visual acuity at the reading distance indicated on the card (usually 12 to 14 inches from your eyes). Laminated Chart measures 4 3/4" x 7"
